AIAYU’s beautiful products speak for themselves. They also speak for the planet – its people, cultures and environment. Started in 2005, AIAYU was one of the first sustainable design brands from Denmark.
Each AIAYU item is made to be beautiful, unpretentious and uncompromising when it comes to quality – just like the modern woman they are designed for. Pronounced ai-ya-yu, the name means soul in an indigenous Bolivian dialect. AIAYU makes ready to wear accessories and home collectibles. The brand has its own store in Copenhagen and retails at 150 carefully chosen retail partners globally. All AIAYU products are made at their place of origin, where the expertise to handle them is greatest – llama wool in Bolivia, organic cotton in India, soft Himalayan cashmere and yak wool in Nepal. AIAYU is determined to show that a 100 % responsible business is the only way to do business.
AIAYU’s commendable mix of ethics and aesthetics has won them the ’Ethical Brand of the Year’ prize by Dansk magazine 2 times in a row, and most recently the company was nominated ’Growth Adventure of the Year’ by the business portal IVAEKST.
